Great Mongeham Horticultural Society Spring Show in Parish Hall

Great Mongeham Horticultural Society held their Member’s Spring Show competition in the village’s parish hall.

The showcase included daffodils, pot plants and floral art arrangements.

Judges determined the best of the bunch in the novice daffodil competition: Marlene Walker, Mike Blee and Fred Arvidsson respectively.

Judges Cicily Finnis and Fred White, explained their picks for the show and gave several presentation tips afterwards.

Further awards included the Best Bloom Daffodil and the cup for most points won in the show, both of which were won by Bill Haynes.

A Club Daffodil competition was also held in the show, won by Jan Aplin, and lastly the flower and pot plant section was awarded to Fred Arvidsson.

New members are welcome in the society, with regular monthly meetings in the Parish Hall every first Monday.
