Damage to Walmer Paddling Pool calls for parents to be extra vigilant

Families flocking to Walmer Paddling Pool to cool down on the hottest day of the year so far are being asked to ensure children are supervised at all times.

Your Leisure, who lease the site from Dover District Council, has today issued a statement to customers explaining because of minor damage to the pool surface, barriers have been placed in the pool to cordon off the offending area.

Therefore parents are being asked to be extra vigilant.

A spokesman said: "Parents must ensure that their children are supervised at all times.

"We apologise for any inconvenience and are working closely with Dover District Council to rectify this."
