Michael Kerr was found dead in Capel-le-Ferne

One of the women accused of murdering a DJ in a country lane sobbed as she blamed her friend for the horrific knife attack.

Alicia Davis, 22, and Charlotte Coulson, 22, stabbed Michael Kerr, 30, in the heart and slashed his throat before dumping his body next to his car in Capel-Le-Ferne, the Old Bailey has heard.

They claim he tried to rape Coulson after she had earlier agreed to have sex with him for £20 to buy drink.

When she was interviewed by police, Coulson admitted she had punched Mr Kerr in his car to get him off her friend – but insisted only Davis had used a knife.

A police officer asked her: “Do you know how he got those slashes to the neck?”

Coulson replied: “By Alicia. It was only me and her there.”

The court heard the two women had been living together at Clarendon Street, Dover, and Coulson described Mr Kerr as “a good mate”.

During the videotaped interviews at Folkestone police station she told how Davis agreed to have sex with Mr Kerr for £20 and had left the house to go to his gold Renault Clio.

Coulson said Davis did have sex with Mr Kerr – but later argued with him via text messages.

Mr Kerr came back to the house and all three of them went out in the car. Both women had been drinking heavily but the victim agreed to allow Coulson to drive.

“I missed a turning in the car because I was drunk. We went into a field. I went into the back. Then I passed,” said Coulson.

She said when she came to her friend was with Mr Kerr on the front seats.

“Michael was on top of her in the passenger seat. He was trying to undo his trousers. She was panicking, trying to push him off.

“She said ‘It’s like my dad’, because she was abused by her dad. She told him to pack it up. I didn’t know what to do so I punched him to get him off her.

“In the end Alicia managed to get him off.”

Coulson said she wanted to get out but was trapped because Davis had to move her seat first.

“By the time I got out the car they were both out the car as well. He was on the floor. You could see he had slash marks.”

Coulson said Davis had been “really angry”.

“I was like, ‘Is he dead, is he gone?’ She stood up and moved him with her foot a couple of times. He didn’t move.”

Coulson said she panicked and tried to drive away in the car but could not get it into reverse.

The two women walked home and showered and washed their clothes.

Mr Kerr’s neck had been slashed at least 11 times and he had been stabbed twice in the chest.

Davis messaged Coulson after the killing saying “I feel so sick, I love you.”

Davis and Coulson both deny murder. The trial continues.
