Dover Athletic 1 Salisbury City 3

Dover v Salisbury

Former Ebbsfleet striker Chris McPhee scored twice as Dover capitulated at home to Blue Square Bet South leaders Salisbury.

The Whites can have no complaints with the result after another lacklustre display in front of their home fans.

A third Crabble defeat in four outings has left Nicky Forster's side 11th in the table although they are only two points adrift of the play-off places.

Salisbury dominated the first half and Dover had to clear an effort off their line after goalkeeper Mitch Walker had parried the initial shot.

However, McPhee opened the scoring six minutes after half-time. Dover tried to respond and Billy Bricknell shot wide before Jamie Smith forced a good save from City goalkeeper Will Puddy.

James White punished a static Whites defence to make it 2-0 on 75 minutes and McPhee doubled his tally five minutes later with a header to put the result beyond any doubt.

Dover did pull a goal back in the last minute when Ben May scored from the penalty spot.
