Two goals from Ben May helped Dover overcome Eastleigh and keep pace with the Blue Square Bet South leaders on Saturday.

Both sides had a man sent off but the Whites picked up their fifth consecutive win to stay level on points with second-placed Welling and two behind leaders Salisbury.

May scored from the penalty spot just three minutes into the game after he had been fouled in the box.

The striker converted Ricky Modeste's cross 10 minutes before half-time to double his tally and put the home side in control.

Eastleigh's Dale Binns was dismissed for striking May late in the half and the visitors also had a goal disallowed as part of the same incident.

It was 10-a-side when Modeste was given his marching orders for a two-footed lunge after the restart.

Former Dover keeper Ross Flitney saved well to deny May his hat-trick, while Craig McAllister drew a superb stop from Mitch Walker at the other end.
