Manager Nicky Forster expressed his relief after watching Dover beat Billericay 4-1 at Crabble on Tuesday night – only their second Blue Square Bet South home victory of the season.

Some Whites fans had called for Forster’s dismissal during Saturday’s 1-0 home defeat by Boreham Wood and he admitted: "There is a relief about getting that win.

"I didn’t feel comfortable standing there (on Saturday) with the fans calling for me to leave the club because I enjoy being here and I’m as committed and as passionate about doing well for Dover as I’ve ever been.

"I’m disappointed that we’ve lost as many games at home as we have and I accept the fans want to see some decent football at Crabble and that we haven’t provided it but I still think there must be a sense of perspective in terms of where we are in the league."

Forster (pictured) added: "It’s about time we beat somebody convincingly at Crabble. Our home record still isn’t good but it’s a step in the right direction."

Whites are at home again on Saturday against Weston-super-Mare and Forster will be forced into at least one change because midfielder Daryl McMahon is suspended.
