Jon Wallis has become Dover Athletic new manager Martin Hayes’ first signing.

The 24-year-old midfielder has put pen-to-paper on a new one-year contract to stay at Crabble after agreeing terms before going away on holiday.

Hayes confirmed this week he is looking to bring in several new faces, as well as inviting the present squad to return for pre-season training.

Wallis (pictured) joined the club in June 2007 after being released by Hereford United. He started his career at Gillingham, making 16 first team appearances at Priestfield.

He was also on loan at Crabble the previous year, as well as spells with Dagenham and Hastings.
