Drugs, thugs and the White Cliffs of Dover is the tag line to a new feature film based in Kent.

Full English Breakfast is a gangster film following the violent career of the Bishop Brothers, a pair of small-time London villains who kill their way to the top of Britain’s drug empire.

The brothers decide to retire to the Kent coast and filming has taken place in Dover, Folkestone and Dymchurch. Jerry Anderson, of Beach Street, Walmer, plays Derek Bishop who is responsible for hiring underlings to deliver narcotics to dealers in the south east.

His older brother Dave is played by Dave Courtney and the premiere for the film will take place on Tuesday at Leicester Square in London.

Mr Anderson, 52, has previously performed in amateur dramatics group The Guild Players and explained that the film is not an average gangster movie.

“It has absolutely no swearing in it, I wonder if audiences would notice that if I didn’t point it out. It’s pretty violent but no swearing at all.”

The film is directed by Manish Patel and will be available on DVD from April 7.
