This week's East Kent Mercury and Dover Mercury are giving away a splendid free calendar in this week's edition.

It features photos from Mercury photographers Terry Scott and Paul Amos, as well as views from the area from readers too.

Steve Wakeford's seagulls over the sea by Deal Pier is on the cover and there is also a snow scene in Sandwich by Val Mercer, an atmospheric view of Richborough cooling towers by Paul Wells and shadows at the Sandwich Ropewalk by Vivienne Lavendar.

The calendar features reminders about events in the Dover, Deal and Sandwich areas, although the provisional date of the annual visit by the Royal Marines to the Deal Memorial Bandstand has now changed to July 15.

Advertisers in the area are featured on each month and extra copies of the calendars are on sale for £2 from the East Kent Mercury office, 13 Queen Street, Deal, open Monday to Friday, 9am until 5pm.
