Lonely people will have a great Boxing Day thanks to charity volunteers in Deal

Anyone who would like some company this Boxing Day is invited to go along to a charitable lunch.

Organised by ACE (Alternative Christmas Experience), it caters for people who would otherwise be on their own at Christmas.

Thanks to kind donations of food and drink by local businesses and individuals, the event is laid on for free for those who need it. This year it will be held at the Astor Theatre in Stanhope Road.

Transport also is available thanks to kind volunteers who will pick up and drop off guests.

This year ACE celebrates its 30th year.

The event is open to people from Deal and Walmer and includes a scrumptious three course lunch, with music and a raffle.

As well as donations of food, cash pledges are welcome, which cover the running costs and pay for food that has not been donated.
