Firefighters in Deal have helped rescue an elderly woman in a care home who had collapsed behind a door.
The approximately 85-year-old had collapsed by her door preventing staff at Rosecroft care home in Church Path, Deal from gaining access to her.
One crew with four men attended the scene at 7am this morning (Wednesday), gaining access through a first floor window. Paramedics were also called to the scene.
An hour later, the crew rescued an 18-month-old boy from a car in Downs Road, Deal, after his mother had accidently locked the keys inside the vehicle.
Firefighters, once again, gained access through a window, using a hook to reach the keys.
Crew manager Dan Yates said: “She had a new car which automatically locks when you shut the doors. It was like a fairground game trying to hook the keys. It took us about half an hour.”
