Firefighters were called to a kitchen blaze this afternoon and found a cooker alight.

Two pumps raced to a home in Wilson Avenue, in Deal, at 4.06pm.

Crews used breathing apparatus and a hose reel jet to tackle the blaze.

Luckily there were no reported injuries.
