Pupils at schools in Dover and Deal are experiencing a new fun way to learn about the solar system.

The UK Space Agency has provided funding for the Kids In Space show to visit 15 schools in East Kent with their educational and inspiring display.

Pupils learning about the planets

The show takes the youngsters on a journey around the solar system taking in all the sights along the way, including a scary space walk in Earth orbit, Neil Armstrong's first step, a bombardment of asteroids as well as visiting each of the eight planets and learning about them.

The show organisers use drama, pictures, real-life footage and all manner of props in the show to bring the subject of space alive.

Today the show is at Adisham Primary School, tomorrow it will be at Sandown Primary in Deal, at Temple Ewell Primary near Dover on Friday and at Green Park Primary in Dover next Friday, November 15.
