Law firm Brachers has announced it plans to move into Discovery Park.

The Maidstone-based company will take 1,030 sq ft of office space as it tries to extend its reach into east Kent.

The office will be headed by corporate partner Sean Gorman, named one of the top corporate finance lawyers in the Chambers & Partners legal directory.

The firm will use its new base to offer its HR consultancy service to SMEs in and around Discovery Park, named an Enterprise Zone by the government.

More than 60 businesses are already at the 220-acre site, employing 1,300 people since it launched in August last year.

Brachers managing partner Jo Worby said: “Discovery Park is an exciting initiative for the region and we are delighted to be supporting it at this early stage.

“Brachers has both strong links with the region’s past, having been established in Kent for over a century, and an ongoing investment in its future.

“Today 70% of the firm’s work still comes from Kent and we are proud of our continuing key role in many of the region’s most significant developments.”
