An actress whose one-woman show has been cancelled over Covid-19 is screening a three monologue preview online.

Lizzie Willis - also a teacher and a director of Deal based ReShake Theatre, was due to perform Marlowe's Women at The Rose Playhouse this month.

Lizzie Willis will perform three monologues as an alternative to her cancelled show Marlowe's Women

Devised by the Deal resident, it was created under the direction of Professor Kenneth Pickering and Sally Elkerton and explores a variety of female characters in Marlowe's works.

The production was commissioned by The Marlowe Society and has already been performed in Canterbury and London as part of the Society’s annual Marlowe Days.

Speaking of the cancelled Rose Playhouse show, Ms Willis said: "For obvious reasons this is no longer going ahead but we are very pleased to announce the three monologue preview as an alternative.
