Mia Ellul's First World War poem impressed a chemist worker so much she put it in the trench themed window display of Paydens Pharmacy in Deal

When Mia Ellul from Deal penned her Remembrance poem, she didn’t have a clue how good it would be, or by how many people it would be read.

But now the ten year-old's words, written from the heart and printed on accompanying Poppy inspired artwork, are on display at a busy town centre chemist and Post Office for customers and passers by to appreciate.

Mia Ellul wrote a Remembrance themed poem and Jayne Thomas from Paydens put it up in the chemist's display window

Proud dad Mark said: “She created the poem entirely herself and it has turned out so well I have posted it on Facebook and LinkedIn with many very kind comments from friends, family and strangers.”

He was so proud of her homework piece he approached Paydens in Queen Street thinking it would be well placed in the chemists’ First World War trench themed window display.

Jane Thomson, who arranges the seasonal displays there, agreed and arranged for a framed copy of the piece to be included.
