Streetlight Storm, an international contemporary artwork, is to be installed for a month on Deal Pier on Monday.

Scottish artist Katie Paterson has been commissioned by Vauxhall Motors to create the project on the theme of reinventing British classics.

It will involve the pier lamps flickering at night in time with lightning strikes happening live in different parts of the world.

Streetlight Storm will be launched with an artist’s talk at Jasin’s Café, at the end of Deal pier, at 4.30pm, on Monday. Anyone can attend.
