Police appeal for information regarding Ringwould burglary

Police are appealing for information in connection with a burglary in Ringwould.

Thieves targeted a property in Front Street between 6pm on Friday, October 17, and 10.20am the following day, stealing an oil painting of a country landscape in a gilt frame, valued at £2,000.

An engraved 60-piece silver cutlery set in an engraved wooden box, wine coasters, a five-piece silver condiment set, two art deco serving dishes and two silver christening mugs, one of which is engraved, were also reported stolen.

Police would like to hear from anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in the area at the time.

In particular, officers would like to speak to three young people seen in Hangmans Lane on the evening of October 17 who may be able to help with their inquiries.

They are also urging anyone who may have been offered items such as those described as stolen to get in touch.
