Calling all super heroes! A student from Worth is organising a parade in Deal and wants people to pull on a costume and join her.

Elizabeth Tophill is studying at the University of Kent in Canterbury and is organising the procession as part of her art project.

She said: "Everyone is welcome to come and join in. People can dress up as a super hero or be their own super hero.

"Or maybe pull a pair of pants over a pair of tights. All everyone needs is a little super hero spirit."

Elizabeth, of Felderland Lane, has already sorted out her own costume for the event, which starts at 6.30pm from Deal Pier forecourt on Saturday, March 21.

She added: "We will parade up the pier and back, to Deal Castle and then back up the High Street to Union Road car park and finally to the seafront, where the procession will end back at the pier.

"Then everyone can join a super hero party at 8.30pm at the Walmer Castle public house, South Street.

"There will be music from The Assassins and hopefully people will stay in their super hero costume."
