A man from Deal was one of three people arrested after an incident in Ringwould just after midnight on New Year’s Day.

Mark Grant, 30, of Halewood, Liverpool, was charged with dangerous driving, driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence and using a vehicle without third party insurance.

He was due to appear in court on Saturday, January 2.

A 23-year old man from Canterbury was arrested on suspicion of shoplifting and was released on police bail until Thursday, February 4 pending further inquiries.

A 21-year-old-man from Deal was arrested but later released without charge.
