The biggest, the best and the brightest – that’s the promise for Deal and Betteshanger Rugby Club’s annual fireworks spectacular.

Tickets go on sale on Tuesday at the cost of £10 for a family of four.

Serge Orlov, director of events and publicity at the club, said: “The event on Friday, November 8, promises to be the most spectacular yet and it takes place at the rugby ground at The Drill Field, Canada Road, Walmer.

“There will be food, refreshments, a DJ, novelties and, of course, a bar.

“This year we have the pleasure of featuring The Tony Johnson Band, who will be playing in the clubhouse immediately after the display.”

Tickets will be on sale at the East Kent Mercury office, Queen Street; Ebdens Garage, Gilford Road; Busters Bits, St George’s Passage, High Street; and the rugby clubhouse, Canada Road, Walmer.

Gates are open from 6pm and the display starts at 7.45pm.
