People in Dover are being given the chance to quiz the area's top police officer in an online web chat.

On Thursday, between 7 and 8pm, Chief Inspector Darren Mullins will be hosting an online beat meeting, where residents can submit questions about local policing.

Chief Inspector Mullins is the District Commander for the Dover area, and leads the police officers responsible for neighbourhood policing in the area.

The online meetings are an opportunity for residents to get updates on work that their local officers have been undertaking, to find out what is coming up, and to ask any questions about policing.

"Officers still regularly hold face-to-face meetings in their wards, but hosting online meetings complements these and means that residents can submit questions from the comfort of their own homes," he said.

"I hope to welcome as many people as possible to the meeting and look forward to answering any queries they have."
