The chance to watch a Disney classic under the stars is coming to Deal.

Deal Town Football Club's The Charles Ground will transform into an open air cinema showing The Lion King on Friday, June 8.

The event, which is suitable for the whole family, will start at 7pm with the film beginning around 9pm just as the sun goes down.

There will be a bar, hot food plus cinema essentials like popcorn and ice-cream.

People are invited to bring a blanket or camping chairs or hire them at the event if they'd prefer.

If it rains the one hour 28 minute screening will still go ahead. Organisers are only not able to use the screen if there are high winds of over 25 knots.

The same event will also take place at Ramsgate Football Club's Southwood Stadium on Thursday, June 7.

Tickets, available here, cost £12 for adults or £8 for under 16s. Under 2s go free.
