Woman threatened with gun in armed raid on Shepherdswell post office

Raiders targeted the post office in Shepherdswell

Armed robbers have threatened a female cashier with a gun during a raid on a village post office.

The two men targeted the store, in Church Hill, Shepherdswell, near Dover, at about 1pm yesterday.

They escaped with an unknown amount of cash and a bundle of stamps.

Kent Police said the raiders are described as two white men with "local accents".

They were wearing dark clothing and their faces were concealed, possibly with scarves.

Officers from the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate are keen to hear from anyone with information about the raid or suspects.

Witnesses are urged to phone Kent Police on 101 or Kent Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111 - quoting reference number 28-0759.
