Dover Athletic have signed Gillingham defender Callum Davies on loan until the end of the season.

The 21-year-old centre-half is expected to make his debut in the home Skrill South game with Boreham Wood at Crabble on Saturday.

Davies signed for Gillingham in 2010 and was sent off on his debut, which came in a 3-1 home defeat against Crewe Alexandra in November of that year.

The 6ft 1in youngster has made 24 league appearances for the Gills, seven of which have been from the bench.

He has started just nine games this season, the last of which came in the 4-2 home win over Coventry City in League 1 on March 11.
