Bensons for Beds is the latest big player to come to Whitfield, we can exclusively reveal.

The national chain will take up the last available unit next to Pets at Home in the White Cliffs Retail Park.

It was thought the last space would be taken up by footwear chain Brantano, but Montagu Evans, who has assisted with filling the units, confirmed it would be Bensons on Thursday.

A Dover District Council spokesman said: “We’re delighted that Bensons for Beds is filling the final unit at the Honeywood Retail Park, alongside B&M, Pets at Home and KFC.

"Along with the pre-lets for the St James’s development, we’re seeing a growing number of new retail and leisure brands putting Dover on the map for retail investment.”

The store will open on Friday, November 20, just in time for an influx of Christmas shoppers.
