A new buy-and-sell shop launched in Dover on Saturday with a celebration event and giveaways.

Jack Edwards, 20, recently moved to Dover and is the franchisee of a national firm, named CEX.

CEX, in Priory Street, buys and sells second-hand phones, games, consoles, laptops and DVDs.

CEX opened up by entrepreneur, Jack Edwards.

After undergoing a full refurbishment, the shop opened last weekend. The opening celebration saw people dressed as Batman, Mario, Spiderman and Darth Vader handing out leaflets to customers and offering them the chance to win £250 worth of vouchers.

Mr Edwards said: “Great first Saturday. A real buzz in the town with the balloons, characters and the bright new store. The new CEX team were fantastic, looking after so many customers. Well done guys.”

He said: “It’s really exciting. I thought it was a strong business model and as I’d had success in other areas, I thought I would give it a go.”
