A man from South Wales was among witnesses responding to an appeal for information after the crash that saw a woman’s car career across Megger’s multi storey car park in Dover.

The woman was named as 32-year-old Remi Akinhmyewa, from Hornchurch, in Essex.

Her car is believed to have lost control at the Aycliffe roundabout, just off the A20.

A Toyota Corolla somersaulted from the A20 roundabout into the multi-storey car park.

She was pronounced dead at the scene after the car was launched some 10ft in the air, damaging two stationary cars during the incident.

Mrs Akinhmyewa left a husband and two children, aged one and three.

Police spokesman Jon Green said: “Kent Police would like to thank everyone that has come forward and given statements, including a man from South Wales who saw the media appeal. A file is now being prepared for the coroner.”
