Attempted robbery at Priory Hill, Dover, police have image of person they seek

Police investigating an attempted robbery have issued an image of a suspect.

A woman in her 50s was approached by a man who threatened her and demanded her handbag.

She refused and was able to run away and report the incident.

It happened between 10,30am and 11.30am on Sunday, June 11, as the victim was walking from Tower Street onto Priory Hill in Dover.

Police have now put out a computer generated image of someone they are looking for in connection with this.

The suspect is described as white, around 17 years old, about 5 ft 8 ins tall, with a medium build and had small cut-like scars under his eyes.

He is also said to have worn a black cap over dark hair, black trainers, a black hooded top with grey jogging bottoms.

A police spokesman said: “Anyone who recognises the suspect in the image, or has any information about the incident is asked to call Kent Police.”
