Missing Dover teen Phil Jones found

The mum of a 13-year-old boy from Dover has thanked everybody who helped find him after he went missing overnight.

Phil Jones was last seen in Pencester Gardens, Dover, at about 8.15pm yesterday (Thursday) when he ran off from his mum Sam.

Following social media appeals, he returned home around 10am this morning.

Miss Jones, 42, who had contacted the police in the early hours of the morning after her son did not return home, told KentOnline: “I'd like to say thank you to the people who helped find him."

She described it as a joint effort between friends.

Yesterday afternoon, police officers, assisted by the National Police Air Service, searched for a missing man from the Crabble Avenue area and successfully located him at 4pm in nearby woods.
