Woman from Dover fined for drinking alcohol in the town centre

A woman from Dover has been fined for drinking alcohol in the town centre.
The 51-year-old failed to comply with a police officer's request to stop drinking on September 13 last year.
Dover town centre is a designated public place - which means no consuming alcohol.
She was summoned to Folkestone Magistrates Court on March 26 where she pleaded guilty to consuming alcohol contrary to a requirement from a police constable.
She was fined £35, ordered to pay a £20 victim surcharge and Crown Prosecution Service costs of £85.
