Drink-drive arrest after woman seriously hurt in crash in Frith Road, Dover

A man has been arrested on suspicion of drink-driving after a head-on crash in a one-way street.

A woman suffered severe injuries in the smash, which happened in Frith Road, Dover at 3.10am today.

The collision involved a Nissan Juke and a Proton Savvy. The female passenger of the Nissan was taken to hospital in a serious condition.

The driver of the Proton, a man in his 20s from Dover, was taken to hospital as a precaution.

He was later arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and drink driving, and remains in police custody.

Police are now appealing for witnesses.
