Firefighters rescued a woman who had fallen down into a basement in Dover yesterday. (Friday)

They were called at 6.55pm to an address in Clarendon Place.

Watch manager Daryl Tonks said the fire crews put a ladder down into the basement and led her out to safety.

There were no injuries.
