Firefighters were called to the Port of Dover last night to save a man who was stuck in a lift.

They arrived at the scene at the Eastern Docks at 11pm as a man was stuck in a lift at the main arrivals hall.

A spokesman for Kent Fire and Rescue said: "They isolated the lift, go to the lift room and manually raise it or lower it to the next floor."
