Dover Town Council has set up a sports committee and is looking for new members.

Meetings will be held quarterly and representatives from all sports organisations in the area are welcome to attend.

Committee chairman Cllr Pam Brivio said: "It is important that sporting organisations know about the work of the committee and the ways in which we may be able to help.

"They in turn will be able to help us achieve the aims of the committee, one of which is to interact with local sports clubs to maximise or facilitate any development or activity opportunities."

The committee has agreed to investigate further their involvement in the Dover District Sports Network.
