Car flip in Dover causes injuries to grandmother and baby

A grandmother and a baby under a year old have been taken to hospital following a crash in North Military Road, Dover.

Police and paramedics were called to the bottom of the hill 1.15pm today following the incident involving a Mini and a Citroen.

The vehicle carrying the grandmother and the infant flipped onto its roof.

A police spokesman said: "The car had reportedly been in collision with another car and overturned.

"SECamb treated them at the scene. Their injuries don't seem to be serious at the moment."

Both were fully conscious when the emergency services arrived.

An ambulance spokesman said that they had been taken to the William Harvey Hospital in Ashford with minor injuries.

The mother has been informed.
