Dover Castle is the first to host a spooky event within the district this year.

The English Heritage site in Castle Hill is opening the Haunted Castle from Saturday, October 24 to Sunday, November 1.

Families will be able to embark on a ghost walk around the site every 20 minutes from 11am to 3.20pm every day.

There will also be a creepy craft marquee where children will be able to make a mask or a paper pumpkin lantern to take home.

There is also a costume competition at 2pm.
