Woman and toddler injured when car hit lamp post in Melbourne Avenue, Dover

A woman and a three-year-old child have been hurt after a car crashed into a lamp post in Melbourne Avenue, Dover, this afternoon.

Kent Police were called to the scene at 2.15pm. The car was blocking the road.

A Kent Police spokesman said "The car is being recovered."

He added: "The male driver was in the car with his wife who had a chest injury and his three-year-old son who hit his head.

"It’s not clear if they were taken to hospital."
