KENT-born singer Joss Stone will be among the artists taking part in a special pop concert to mark the 10th anniversary of Princess Diana’s death.

She will sing at the concert at new Wembley stadium on July 1. The date was announced by Princes William and Harry on Tuesday.

Elton John, Duran Duran and Bryan Ferry will also be singing.

A church memorial service will take place on August 31, the anniversary of the Paris car crash which claimed the life of Diana.

Prince William said in a statement: “We both wanted to put our stamp on it. We want it to represent exactly what our mother would have wanted.

“So therefore the church service alone isn’t enough. We wanted to have this big concert full of energy, full of the sort of fun and happiness, which I know she would have wanted.”

Joss, who was born in Dover, makes her film debut in the new fantasy film Eragon, which is due to be released this Friday, December 15.
