Half a dozen cars were damaged last night after a driver reportedly lost control and crashed.

Police were called to Lewisham Road, River, Dover, at about 10.50pm and arrested a man on suspicion of drink driving.

A police spokesman confirmed a silver Seat Leon had crashed into 'several' parked cars at the road's junction with Minnis Lane.

Eyewitness, Enrico Borello, 18, of Lewisham Road, said: “A car was travelling very fast and the driver must have lost control and hit the first car then hit another couple of cars and ended up spinning, losing a wheel in the process.”

It is understood that no one was injured.

The 41-year-old man remains in police custody this morning.
