RNLI volunteers collected more than £800 in donations from town centre shoppers in Dover.
The lifeboat members were out for their May Day appeal on Saturday, May 14.
Money donated helps the crew to save more lives, and nationally, 348 were saved last year.
Thanks was given to all of the Dovorians who dug deep in their pockets on the day.
On Saturday, May 21, the lifeboat will be open to the public from 9am to 4pm as part of the marina open day.
There will be the chance to tour the lifeboat station on the day and meet the crew.
