POLICE investigating an assault in which a man was stabbed with a knife have charged a 26-year-old man with attempted murder.

The alleged incident happened just before 12.30pm on Tuesday, July 31, in London Road, Dover, at the junction with Beaconsfield Road.

Zamir Veseli, of no fixed home, was arrested on Wednesday and is due to appear before Folkestone magistrates today.

A 29-year-old man from Dover has been treated for a stab wound to his chest area at Kings College Hospital in London.
