Police investigating a reported rape near a park in Dover have arrested a man.

Officers were called to Pencester Gardens, off Pencester Road, at 9.25pm yesterday.

It followed reports that a woman in her 20s had been the victim of a serious sexual assault in the area.

A 35-year-old man of no fixed address has been bailed, pending further enquiries, until 19 October.
