Suspect, man of 19, arrested after burglaries in Biggin Street, Pencester Road, and other Dover areas

A 19-year-old man has been arrested in connection with burglaries of businesses.

There has been a rash of such break-ins in Dover over five weeks.

The Kent force is investigating reports of 21 raids on businesses.

These have been in the High Street, Biggin Street, Cherry Tree Avenue, Elms Vale Road, Pencester Road, Market Square, and Castle Street.

These were between Thursday, February 1. and Monday, March 5, and led to cash, cigarettes, spirits and other items being stolen.

This suspect, from the town, was arrested on suspicion of burglary offences last Thursday Mar 8.

He was also arrested on suspicion of stealing cash from a vehicle in Stembrook Court, Dover, on Thursday, February 15.

The suspect was placed in police custody while enquiries continued.
