A man suffered serious head injuries after a hot drink was thrown over him and he was then hit in the head with an object at a boot fair.

Police are appealing for witnesses after the attack at Barville Road Boot Fair, near Eythorne, between 8am and 9.30am on Monday morning.

It came after a row broke out between two men, who are known to each other.

The teen was arrested yesterday.

One of the two, aged 38, had a hot drink thrown over him.

Then, some time later, the same man was hit on the head with an unknown object, which left him with a serious head injury.

Anyone who saw either incident should contact Detective Sergeant Matt Smith on 01227 868278 quoting reference ZY/12752/14, or Kent Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
