A motorcyclist has been taken to a London hospital with serious head injuries after an accident involving a security van near Dover.

It happened on London Road, Kearsney, between the junction with Whitfield Hill and the Alkham Valley Road.

Police cordoned off the road and long queues of traffic built up as paramedics assessed the man's condition. The air ambulance was called to take him to hospital, but he was said to be very seriously injured.
