Erik Horvath, of King Street, Dover, in court charged with robbery in town's New Street

A man has appeared in court following a mugging.

Police had called to the reported street robbery in New Street, Dover, in which a man had cash and a mobile phone stolen.

This was at about 3.30am last Sunday.

Erik Horvath, 18, from the town's King Street, was arrested shortly afterwards, still in the early hours of that day.

He appeared at Medway Magistrates Court yesterday charged with robbery.

He was remanded in custody and is next due to appear at Canterbury Crown Court on February 25.
