Overnight burglary at Buckland Avenue, Dover, as occupants sleep

Police are investigating a burglary that took place while occupants slept.

The thieves later tried to use bank cards they stole.

The break-in was at a home in Buckland Avenue, Dover, between 10pm on Wednesday and 5.10am yesterday.

A Kent Police spokesman said: "It was reported that a purse, bank cards and a quantity of cash was stolen while the victims were asleep at home.

"Attempts were reportedly made to use the cards to withdraw cash later the same morning."

Officers ask that anyone with information regarding the burglary calls Kent Police on 01843 222289 quoting the reference number 46/28287/18.
