Police and paramedics are at the scene after a person fell from a road bridge in Dover.

They were called to the town's Upper Road at around 5.25pm.

A police spokesman said: "A person has fallen from a road bridge above the A2 Jubilee Way and it is currently closed in both directions."

It comes after motorists suffered long delays following an earlier crash involving a lorry and two cars on Jubilee Way.

Upper Road is expected to be closed for several hours.

Traffic heading to the Port of Dover has been urged to consider using the A20 as an alternative route.
