Police called to early hours crash in Tower Hamlets Road in Dover

A 35-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of driving while unfit after a collision in Tower Hamlets.

It happened around 12.24am on Sunday, involving one vehicle which crashed into a wall.

The man has been bailed until Friday, April 10 pending further inquiries.

A fire crew from Dover was called as a precaution with a message that somebody was trapped.

A fire service spokesman said: “From a fire brigade point of view, we didn’t do anything. "When we turned up there was no one in it.”

Other reports suggest smoke was emerging from the car.
